Dawson's Family Restaurant

Been back since my original review and had breakfast there. Their service is wonderful, the ladies serving there are so sweet and attentive. We had the breakfast buffet and it was really good. And the restaurant is absolutely spotless. Very pleasant place to eat.Original:Great service and the food was very good. Best chicken quesadilla I've had in a while.

My wife enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. When you walk in you seat yourself. Within just a few minutes our waitress came to our table. We were still looking at the menu but the very kind waitress took our drink order. We both got coffee. It came to the table very hot and was very good.I ordered "The Big One" with French toast and I chose sausage and order my eggs over medium. Everything seemed very fresh, was hot and had great flavor. The only slightly disappointing part was that it was served with whipped margarine instead of real butter.My wife ordered "The Original" with her eggs over easy and she chose bacon. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The bacon was thick and perfectly crispy without being overcooked. The hash browns were delicious.Service was fast and friendly. Food came out quickly, was hot and tasted great. Refills of coffee and water were offered at just the right times.We are looking forward to returning soon.

I was lucky to stop in on a Friday night to find a really Good Buffet for 14.95 with a drink!!! The food was fresh and Hot!! I had the catfish and chicken fried Steak with veggies and it was so Good!!! The service there is super friendly and attentive !! I highly recommend this home cooking restaurant !!!

Had a great breakfast and a very well decorated restaurant with great service and clean bathrooms. Really couldn’t ask for better!

On our travel home we stopped in here for breakfast. We will definitely be back.Great hearty breakfast menu. Freshly made. And friendly fast service.

OMG. This place was a awesome.. have been to a hwy Cafe in a while.. they had a catfish buffet on the Friday I was there. But the wife and I had a club sandwich and salad.. I had a cheeseburger and fries.. burger was perfect.. not cooked to death.. juicy fresh veggies.. fries not cook to a burnt crisp.. service was super friendly.. if your traveling through and need to have a meal ... not want all the noise and good home style food.. this is your place.. we will stop here again on our way back to Colorado..

Classic Texas breakfast menu, I had chicken fried steak, 2 eggs over medium, hashbrowns. Excellent road trip stop.

Completely fell in love with this place completely. Please try the grilled catfish and the veggies. The waitstaff is amazing and so sweet wow you and the double cheeseburger with bacon amazing. I love going first thing in the morning and getting five scrambled eggs with extra American cheese and soft bacon. The fried okra as well
